In 2013, having left the corporate world to rescue horses in Wales, Lori Whinn found herself mentoring growing Welsh businesses. And it wasn’t long before she was itching to run her own.
Lori saw an alternative to the homogenous mainstream brands on supermarket shelves. She wanted to sell honest, indulgent and genuinely inventive chocolate that people could feel good about eating – on all levels. Chocolate with a social conscience. Chocolate with pizazz.
Located in the beautiful Welsh countryside, Coco Pzazz take a huge amount of pride in every aspect of their business.
With their 'Tread Lightly' programme, the Coco Pzazz team put people and the environment at the heart of their business.
They use 100% renewable energy, and have a zero-to-landfill policy. Their packaging is platic-free, using compostable plant-based film and FSC certified cardboard.
Speaking of packaging, they work closely with various local designers to create their products' distinctive and vibrant look.
Finally, they ensure their cocoa comes from the most sustainable sources possible by joining the Cocoa Horizons programme, an organisation supporting local growers and empowering women and young people in their communities. They have even launched an innovative programme of their own to provide sustainable micro-loans directly to their chocolate growers in South America and West Africa. The money goes on projects such as introducing organic fertilisers and helping farmers to improve their cocoa-tree yield through replanting.
From bars to buttons to fudge, all of their products are handmade and packed with care, so whether it's a gift for someone special, a little treat for yourself or something to give your guests, they have a range of products that are perfect for every occasion!
